Snarfer by Snarfware LLC Screenshot Snarfer Screenshot

Snarfer is a new type of creature. Snarfers are hungry little creatures that crave information! They consume a steady stream of information feeds and store it for their users. Snarfer gets “smart” by accumulating information from many different places and then gives users the ability to read and manage it. Snarfer is both an application and platform. It has been architected to support Plugins to add future functionality and Skins to deliver user interface customization. These features as well as many others will be exposed in upcoming versions.

Lightweight but still has plenty of features. Seems to use some magical built-in version of IE6 instead of installed IE8. Makes it way too easy to delete feeds, never sure where the selection focus is.

None that I found. Have to use tabs, even if you don't want to.One of those programs that wants to force Google and ebay on you. Trying to search for help with the help link is useless. It opens their web page, but not much else. I don't like being told what programs to use or what feeds to read. It's not intuitive how to add feeds. The only ones that are easy to find are the ones they want you to use. I couldn't get rid of the Google Translate box on the main page. All of the other Google or ebay links or folders you can opt out of or delete.

Excellent feedreader. Quite compact and fast. Unfortunatelly seems that the development has been abandoned since 2 years ago. A real pitty, would like to see it revived as open source.

Like the features it provides, toss up between this and feed demon, keeping both for the time being. Nothing at moment. Great program.
