Unstoppable Copier 4.3

Unstoppable Copier by Roadkils Software Screenshot Unstoppable Copier Screenshot

Unstoppable Copier recovers files from disks with physical damage. Allows you to copy files from disks with problems such as bad sectors, scratches or that just give errors when reading data. The program will attempt to recover every readable piece of a file and put the pieces together. Using this method most types of files can be made useable even if some parts were not recoverable in the end.

Easy to use, self explanitory, very quick to use, very good tracking of progress. None really. I was looking for a simple program to be able to copy an ENTIRE CD-ROM to a USB flash drive, and this little program worked like a champ! Not only did it copy ALL of the files, but it gave a file by file detail of the progress and the success of each file copied! I do not think one could PAY for a better program that did as much, as well, and as fast as this one!

"Extremely slow" Nice graphic interface Extremely slow, I fed up after 3 days keeping the computer on whilst this software was trying to recover a damaged file from a DVD. After 3 days only just over 1Mb of damaged sectors, and who knows the total extension of the damaged sectors, was recognized but not recovered

OK sometimes what you get back is of no use, but it is great to have an app that will actually try, giving you the chance of something useful. I had a DVD with a 10 minute video file. Everything else gave up at 1 minute (being a media corruption, rather than a file corruption, not even VLC would go any further). Unstoppable copier gave me it all back. OK, there was a second or so of corrupt image, but that is not Unstoppable Copier's fault, it at least gave me 10 times more than anything else would.

"Keeps on copying" I had hard disk problems where some files were damaged among hundreds. This copier copied all the good ones without ending early (ala Windows) and even retrieved a few by rtrying extensively (optional) no, tis is free and it works Easy to use interface, not hard to figure out and simply the best way to get around sometimes pesky file issues that stop normal windows copy.

I had to use it once on an old machine, and was a real lifesaver... though it's not the kind of program you would like to use everyday!

can it copy an OS disc ?

I tried this out on an old disk which couldn't be read in the CD Rom drive and it managed to recover nearly everything. Going on that, the software appears to deliver what it should. P.S. I normally dont criticise people who leave comments on this website BUT for QQ I will make an exception. Reading his comments it is abundantly clear that he has left his remarks without even trying the software. People are not interested in his experiences but in the software alone. This program on my one test appears to work and that will be of far more interest to those thinking of downloading it !!!!

"Very handful" Light eight, easy to use and efficient. Some files are not stored, but this may not be a con.

Does what you need it to do. NONE - awesome program A file copy program that actually works.... what a revelation! After spending 4 hours trying various programs here on cnet for simply copying files with bad sectors - none of which worked - finally came across this gem. I'll be sending in a well deserved donation to the author. Kudos!

Brilliant piece of software. It's getting that all the best software lately is freeware/donation-ware. Great stuff. QQ, Have you ever visited the planet Earth?

I can't believe this, I was looking for a this program for 8 months (this type of program FREE). Windows 7 formatted my hard drive with my photos and music on it and not the drive I wanted it too. Others charge you $100 for similar software, this is free and does the job perfectly. I only wish it preserved the file name. Instead it names everything Foundfile0001 and so on. Found all my photos I thought I lost of my youngest son being born. Thank you sooo much developer. If I had any money to spare I would donate it, I will if I do.

Fast and reliable (when compared to similar programs)FREEDetailed status and output Not a complete miracle worker First of all, I run Norton Internet Security 2011 and it said this file was flagged as safe. I have a disc with deep scratches that were not removed by resurfacing, buffing, etc. and I ended up with a few files left that couldn't be read at all. While other programs (even "data recovery") would just hang for a while and give up, this program read the file slowly, at bits - not bytes - per second and was able to recover at least some good bytes. The status display shows you exactly how many total, good, and corrupt bytes within the file were copied, the number of read errors, successful read/writes, and transfer rate. After it's done it gives you the integrity % of the file. I really like the batch mode option. For me, a file with at least some integrity is better than no file at all. This is a good program for last resort attempts at data recovery without putting your hardware reader at risk by trying to use Brasso or toothpaste. There are creams sold specifically to fill in gaps, resurfacing machines, and other things that should be used instead. Then after you've done all you can with the physical disc - use this program.
