CloneSpy 2.52

CloneSpy by Marcus Kleinehagenbrock Screenshot CloneSpy Screenshot

CloneSpy can help you free up hard drive space by detecting and removing duplicate files. Duplicate files can have exactly the same contents regardless of their name, date, time and location. It is able to find files that are not exactly identical, but have the same filename. Perhaps you have different versions of a file and you want to find all of them and remove the older versions. It can also find zero length files, which are files that have no content.

I don't know. I read the warning and didn't use it but CNET won't leave me alone unless I write a review. I don't know. Pro: quickly finds identical files by content Con: plays an annoying sound when done. Need to go to settings to have application show all duplicates in one window, otherwise you'll be boinggggg'd every second for each and every file. Does what it says on the tin, and does it rapidly, but annoying sound effect which can not be disabled or changed from settings panel makes this a worse choice than others.

Easy to Understand, plenty of options re delete or report. Pretty fast as well. Lets you saved favourite sets of directories. Does not make me coffee User interface even stops you from making errors (put in a parent or child of a directory already there and it lets you know. I cannot see a feature to add.
