Does as it is supposed to with relative ease. Interface could use some polishing.

It is great to be able to change file names in bulk. It works especially well for renaming a group of downloaded photos in a folder. There is nothing I dislike about this program.

this worked wel for me. it renamed files with ease and seems to have more features to tweak filename and extensions than i expected. I have only used two other bulk programs, but they were trials. I'll explore it more to see its full potential. the interface is a bit compilcated looking. it takes a few minutes getting used to. it works though. complicated looking interface provides realtime filename preview, so this helps. program works as it should. opted to add to shell extension, which is nice to be infolder, select files, right click and open program with file selected. handy tool for bulk renaming. gave it 4 starts for a lacking interface,. so far worked flawlessly for me :)

My very favorite utility. Especially handy for photos and audiobook tracks. Easy to use and intuitively obvious. Offers lots of renaming options and shows results of your choices before you rename. Absolutely NO cons!

Excellent utility, the best of its kind The only problem that I have is that the track property does not work at all as it supposed to. If that could be fixed, it would be perfect!

It becomes very easy to bulk rename many, many files. For example your 200 pictures from you holiday you can easily rename them and sort them better. mind boggling and incredibly complicated User Interface bottom line is that it is a great app, and very usefull when you have hundreds of files that need proper naming and organizing. Problem is that the UI has a billion options to do and it isnt exactly laid out straight forwardly, with a bit of patience and understanding itll be a good app.

Flexible / Capable Can seem a little daunting given the amount of info displayed in the user interface Try it... it's not as difficult as it looks but it is as capable.

Reasonably easy to use Interface could be improved I would certainly recommend. The interface is a little complex especially when using dates as filenames. It is also a shame that BRU does not remember your preferences.

simple and fast to use - see my bottom line summary none that I have encountered There must be a better way but this works for me. I like to purchase and then listen to audiobooks in MP3 format. Many audiobooks, depending upon the title, are not available in MP3, my first choice of formats.Consequently, when I purchase an audiobook in the standard CDA format I follow the following procedure. First, I rip it to my Hard Drive changing the format to MP3 while doing so. Next, I burn it to a disc. Sometimes these discs play without difficulties but frequently my CD MP3 player plays the files according to the numbering system on the original tracks irrespective of which disc it came from. I am trying different solutions simultaneously (I know, if one works and solves the problem and the other doesn't I will never know which one solved the problem.) these solutions are:1) Rename all the files into the sequence that I want them played and then place them into one folder. (I did this manually until I discovered Bulk Rename Utility, a free program which works perfectly for my purposes.2) Create playlists using Playlist Creator 3.6.2 3) Burn all the files, including the playlists, to a CD using Ashampoo Burning Studio 6 Free Edition. That's it. I spent many hours, and a few ruined discs trying to figure out how to accomplish this task. Now that I know, this solution is fast, simple and easy.
