"Perfect Little App- clean, quick, simple, unclutterd" Im always customizing my desktop- which means im also constantly trying to match up colors- between my wallpaper, windows, fonts, etc- so i was very much in need of a quick small utility that could do the matching for me- nothing too complex- just a simple "color picker". So i went and downloaded 11 programs- tried them out 1 by 1, eliminating most of them, till i got down to 2- Color Cop was one (the other i kept for more advanced color functions). Color Cop, more aptly than the rest, fit the requirements i described above- it's small & simple- i have it in my Quick Launch bar, & can, um, quickly, bring it up when i need it. With the color grabber tool, you can pick up any color on your screen- once you click on the spot where your desired color is, there's a small box (in the screen shot- the bottom right box) that shows the portion of the screen that you just grabbed from, magnified, for more a more accurate pick of your color. It also remembers the last 7 colors selected (or potentially 8, if you include the most recent, current color selected), which is very useful. And just to round out this sweet little app, there's also a button labeled "Custom", which will open up a Custom Color Picker for you to select your own colors if needed. And, while i love this for the simplicity, there are even more extra features for more advanced color needs- but the great thing about them is they are unobtrusive and do not bog down the app- they are found in the menu options- you can have Color Cop detect colors that are Websafe, convert selected colors to grayscale, and more. Perfect little App. Im hesitant to say this, bc the beauty of Color Cop is it's simplicity- i didn't want anything too over the top- again, i wanted something simple, easy & quick- but for some they may find the UI ugly & plain- for me, however- the plainer the better- anything more fancy might take away from the clean, uncomplicated quality of it.

"Couldn't live without it!" Drag the eye dropper to any color you see online and Color Cop will capture the RBG and Hex numbers for you - as well as show the color in the display box. See another color you like? Grab it too. Your first color will be saved in a column of small side display boxes until you've added several more colors.

This is a great little program for finding the colour of anything you want on your screen. You just drag the magnifying glass over top and pick the spot. It will give you the colour code and rgb values. I've tried some others but this is the best one imo

"Wonderful, makes creating easier." With the eye dropper you can get the exact color you want, without the close but not close enough. The color cop stays up on the screen to long, I would like to be able to set a time before the cop would minimize. I wish there were other programs that worked as well as this does...

"Fantastic, I don't know how I lived without it." It is so easy to match a color. Simply drag the dropper and it gives you the hex #. There is nothing I don't like about Color Cop. The fact that it is cost free, makes it an even better program!

Just drag the magnifier over anything on your screen for a nice close look and click any pixel for its RGB hexadecimal value. Great for graphic designers or to manipulate colors on an image. I've even used it to figure out gradient schemes. Some people may not see the value in it, but they don't understand what they are missing. Ever wanted to know a color of an exact spot of an image, or your heal function just not working the way you want it to? You can use color cop to pick out an exact spot on any image on your screen. Very nifty tool, you can use the color picker to heal photos (get the color of surrounding area, and cover up blemishes with the exact hexadecimal value), you can recreate image colors, or you can see how much effect a filter had by picking a spot on an image with color cop then apply a filter and click the same spot to see what kind of color change/enhancement happened. The possibilities are endless with just the knowledge that this little tool gives you. I am a freeware ***** and run all freeware on my computer, from my antivirus, to image creators/manipulators, to text editors. Just reply to my review with your info if you want help or my opinion on some freeware and i'll share my freeware stories (good or bad).

"Another great tool." Very nice. Easy to use and has come in handy. It is operating beautifully. A great help. No problems. I like this program. There are times when I see a color that I particularly want but no way to get. This program lets me do this. I can write down the color if I want to and off I go in my artwork. Great. Thanks.

Easy to use the eyedropper in ANY program. Many different options to provide what one needs in easy formatting. None that I can think of Have been using it for years in MANY different programs to get colors "right". It's part of the "core" programs always installed on any of my computers. Have tried others & definitely prefer Color Cop!

Easy to download; easy to use; accurate; perfect for my needs. No negatives to report. I would encourage anyone using Constant Contact to "grab" Color Cop on the instant. Makes life just that much easier.
