MyDefrag (formerly JkDefrag) is a disk defragmenter and optimizer for Windows. Completely automatic and very easy to use, fast, low overhead, with several optimization strategies, and can handle floppies, USB disks, memory sticks, and anything else that looks like a disk to Windows.

Very thorough defragmentation and optimization with impressive performance benefits. Safe and reliable due to use of Windows defrag API. No option to shut down PC on completion. 'No frills' interface. The best free application I have found for defragmention and optimization only. Ideal for IT professionals but general users may prefer more the user-friendly interfaces and additional functionality of alternatives such as 'Auslogics Disk Defrag'.

The product eliminated many free space elements. Retrieved about 15% more disk after another defragger. Slow It took four days to defrag a 600mb external hard drive. Other the slowness I think that this is an excelent defragger. It eliminates many space eaters that other defraggers do not. MyDefrag 4.2.9 runs faster once it does not have to get through all the old defrag errors. It save a lot of space by combining smaller freespaces

Easiest Defragger I've ever used. Fastest as well. Works particularly well in Safe Mode.Easy download. Easy learning curve. If you use System Restore, depending on your OS, you may lose its functionality as many or all restore points may vanish if you select a performance level that includes Optimization. No support other than a small users forum. Beats the pants off of Windows Defrag and easier to use than it's competitors. But if you go with its Optimizer level, you may find it incompatible with System Restore points, useful to have working when your OS destabilizes.

Cannot at present see any advantage whatsoever Hard to comment, I do not know what is happening, where things are up to. Either there is a major glitch in program or is something missing when I run the program when compared to other defrag packages this appears quite restriced in performance. I cannot see an organisation launching a program which from my view does not work.I am running XP, on a Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro. with 512 of memoryBeing a user who has worked on the edge of the computer market for the last 50 years I do understand a little about programming but find myself at a loss to offer a constructive direction for guidance to resolve the problem. I have not had anything like the problem I am encountering with this program, hence there must be something obvious that is wrong, but it is escaping me at present.

Very effective at defragmenting large disks with heavy amounts of fragmentation with little to no space. Speeds up your boot-time! Has new options for SSD/Flash defragmentation. Variety of disk defrag scripts to choose from! MY BIGGEST GRIPE:After a simple disk analysis... you have no options to defrag!?? You have to quit and restart the program to in order to choose your defrag menthod. Happens also after any defrag operation. Excellent free alternative to the paid software like Raxo or Executive Software. The built in Windows Defrag is okay, but not nearly as good as MyDefrag.

Fastest and biggest improvement in my Windows OS I ever seen after running this software. Don't care about the "restore point" problems since I don't use them. LOVE THIS SOFTWARE. Don't go by the look of this ancient-looking software. Read the manual (very easy) and run it after reading the short description of each task on the side pane of the software. Be patient for a few hours and you will have the best and fastest hard-disk in the Windows NTFS world!

Like that you can select different storage memory on the computer! e.g. Memory stick or Hard drive! Would like the consolidate free space to compact the hole drive, if it was possible and keep all partition compact and close to the systems files! Just keep improving it and make it as fast as possible! The main screen for setting it up before defraging, could be more modern not old-fashioned and dull!

Seems to speed up computers a bit. Does a thorough job. Gives you many defragmenting options. Wipes out system restore points on Windows 7. Takes its' sweet time. I use this on two computers, an old xp and new 7 machine. It works fine on the xp pc, defragging even the system restore partition that is usually un-defragmentable, albeit taking hours to complete. It seems to have slightly sped up both machines beyond their speeds while using another free defragmenter. The biggest issue I have with mydefrag, is that it wipes out all of my restore points... every time. I had read about this problem before I installed it, and yes, it is true, even if I choose only to defragment only the c partition, and nothing else. I simply make sure my computer is clean and working properly before I defrag.
