Is a good player with standard set of controls. Newest version on this site installs unwanted video download toolbars, changes default search engine in both IE and Firefox. Changes your start page for IE and Firefox. I will not use any program that installs crapware and changes settings from what you want.

Does what it says This version comes with other downloads: a big nuisance Good player but the 'price' to pay for this 'free' software is a lot of extra nuisance as mentioned by other users

Outstanding flv player with many useful features with nice changeable skins,it also plays other videos like wmv,avi,mpg if you have the codecs installed.I am using this as my default flv player for a long time. As pointed out by others,this version has installed a malware from Bigseekpro even after unticking its option to install.It installed an unwanted videodownloadtoolbar to my IE&Firefox and changed the start page for IE and Firefox. This is an outstanding video-player indeed.As this version installs some crap softwares forcibly,it is spoiling its name.The bigseekpro toolbar has an uninstaller,but, even after uninstalling,it kept an exe file in the system and comes up again as a spyware.It has to be forcibly removed with a registry-cleaner or so.

Good player before but... Went to upgrade to this new version and Webroot Spy Sweeper blocked it and would not let it install. It found spyware trying to install. I thought it may have been a false positive but after reading these other reviews WATCH OUT.

None that I found I selected custom install and unchecked the box "Install Bing toolbar." But the program DID install bing toolbar in both internet explorer and firefox. Also requires additional download of flash player for internet explorer. And even after uninstalling FLVplayer4free the bing toolbar stayed. Bing toolbar wasn't even listed in the add/remove programs listing. I had to sift through IE and firefox settings and options to remove it. These toolbars watch your internet surfing habits. Get yourself another player that doesn't include this spyware. NOT RECOMMENDED!

None. I trashed it as soon as I discovered the toolbar scam. Oh wait, here's a pro: It convinced me that I should read other users' reviews more carefully. The last review prior to mine had the same issue. It installed a Somoto toolbar in IE even after I unchecked 6 boxes in my attempt to deny permission to install toolbars and other junk. CNET should remove this software and ban its publisher.
