Very simple though powerful program which works perfectly with the Video to DVD converter. I haven't find any yet Excellent program. Very simple. I use this and the Video to DVD converter program rather than any other professional solution. It copes my requirements even better than Encore or Nero. It's a great tool that you might want to have if you're tired of looking for free tools. It hasn't the greatest look 'n feel, but it has the gratest reliability.

It just worked, burned a video_ts folder straight to DVD and it played just fine in the DVD player. Very simple interface. It tried to slip an "add-on" installation past me with the license agreement: Be careful, this program tries to reset your home page and install the Ask.com toolbar (if you're paying attention, you can opt out of this stuff). After installing, which took just a few seconds on a three-year-old XP machine, I started the program. There is very little in the way of an interface. You just select video_ts folder, and click "burn." I was so used to other programs asking for so much more that I visited the maker's website in hopes of a little explanation. They claimed it would work. So, dubiously, I clicked "burn." And it did. The old movie played just fine off the new DVD. Don't let the sketchy appearance of their website fool you.

Did exactly what it said it would do As soon as I installed it, I went to run my web browser, and it came up with a user32.dll error. I did a bit of research and found that it installs a windows vista file(that's what was giving me the errors) I did a system search and deleted the DWMAPI.DLL file that it installed to my system 32 folder. Everything worked fine after that.

AFTER HAVIVIING TRIED OTHER BURNERS SUCH AS CDBURNERXP HANDBRAKE BURN4FREE AND DEEPBURN. This is the best yet maybe my mistake did get one disk a little choppy at the beginning of a home made compilation but the other disks made work just fine. If your not up to all the halla baloo and crating stylish menus then this is for you. Basic quick efficient. Creates a symple menu and doesn't take hrs like so many other programs. I put 5 movies on a single disk and plays just fine. It even shrunk them to fit disk. other programs wont shirnk to fit to disk. If you run this with thier free video to dvd converter, you can set it to burn once video is converted. It doesn't have all the bells and whistle to reset fps or resolution It does it automatically. Was using software that came with windows os and it took hrs just to make one movie per dvd. 10 short films with this program will take a matter of minutes approx 15-20. Now why pay for something thats going to take hours and not work even on the cheapest dvd player like nero or cyberlinks? I have a$20 player from gpx other programs i used, the disk would not play. Now the play beatifully. I am not tech savvy for the most part especially when it comes to software but too many bad reviews on products because the people are not knowledgeable or expect more than what a product is meant for. You make your own decission. It does what you want and need or it doesn't. Your own experience does not mean it will be right for the next person. Short reviews don't allow for good insight. If there are a lot of negatives of a product, then you can suspect you will have problems too. This program is not for professionals. It is just a simple dvd burner for everyday user. It does just as it says nothing more nothing less. It does not claim to be the only solution nor to allow for every persons dvd creating and burning need. Its as I said sufficient quick simple and doesn't take as long as most others. Updated on Nov 21, 2009

Proceed with caution on this one! Installs other programs you didn't ask for, tries to highjack your IE search, and install a tool bar.

simple interface, burns good dvd's just watch for IE toolbar installation and default search provider selection options when installing or exiting I have no problems with this program; it has a nice simple interface, small memory requirement, allows selection of important settings, and best of all, the DVD+R I burned of video_ts & audio_ts files created by DVD Shrink plays fine in my 5+ year old DVD player. You just have to be careful during installation and when exiting the program to uncheck the defaut selections of installing spyware toolbars / default home pages / search providers, but that is very common with Freeware nowadays. Also, the desktop shortcut and initial start menu icons it creates is for something called "Free Studio Manager"; I don't know what that is, haven't tried it; you just have to go into a "Programs" subfolder to get to the actual Free DVD Video Burner icon.
