many i'm sure could not find how to establish virtual EOL space (aka column editing?) no column editing is a "deal breaker" (like a life raft with the plug gone...) (gave three stars tho it may deserve better...)

Color-coding and adjustable tabbing are favorites Haven't used program enough yet to find problems! Using this as an alternate to HomeSite for PHP instruction, found it to be faster and easier to customize... just wish I had more time available for learning PHP!

Does everything I want. None that I can think of. I tried different editors in the past. So far I like Notepad++ the best. Among other things, the tabs allowing multiple files to be open and selected by a click is really handy.

Superb, I use it every day at work, The best of it's type I've come across. only 2 things let it down in my opinion. 1 - As you can get a fully portable version, why not just make the whole application portable by default, there's no real need not to? 2 - Startup time is getting slower and slower with each release. I have very few plugins installed (3-4 at most) and notice that with each release it gets that bit more sluggish to start. Though once started is blazingly fast. and making it auto update would be a GODSEND! I don't pretend to you all, or even most of its features (of which there are many) But it is a very good application edit: OK maybe I should look a little more carefully before shouting my mouth off. Didn't notice that new installer will bypass %appdata% folder and store data inside it's own folder - so the portability option might be there already (sorry) Also... It does now include an auto updater, which I missed before. My bad. My apologies Notepad++ :) Updating my 4 to a 5*
