OrangeCD Catalog is the comprehensive music database program for cataloging your music in any format. It handles physical media (such as CD, DVD, vinyl records, or tapes) as well as electronic media (such as MP3, Windows Media, iTunes or FLAC songs). It handles classical music collections as easily and conveniently as pop music. To add a new CD to the database, you just need to insert the CD in your computer, and OrangeCD will download all information from Internet. You don't have to type a single word. Filling your music CD database becomes quick and easy. Now you can find out if you own a specific album or song, print CD changer index sheet, put your album reviews on the web or calculate your total collection value.

This program keeps everything in its own separate database, completely avoiding ID3 tags. In my opinion that is a bit ridiculous. Otherwise, very nice.

"Good software for music collection" Good-looking, easy-to-use and well-designed software for music collectors. Some UI aspects might be significantly improved.

"Almost perfect for classical music" It allows you to download data automatically (!) enter data for composers, performers, create CD boxes, specify differente performers for each single music passage, define customized categories, labels etc. 1) It does not recognize DVDs :( 2) You cannot enter all the times you listened to a CD (therefore you cannot create statistics on your favourite CDs) 3) It does not keep record of CDs that you have borrowed in the past After trying many CD management software, I have opted for this one because it's the most complete and flexible tool, especially for classical music, where it's essential to be able to distinguish between composers and performers!

I cannot see why anyone would want to pay for a program to keep track of their music when there is free software out there that far supersedes it. The program I am talking about is Songbird. It is free and open source. It is fully expandable with tagging features as well as the ability to retrieve lyrics and album art. My way is Sonbird.

"it's a great software! I definitely recommend it!" It's so easy to work with, very intuitive. Downloading information from CD?s is so quick! Very well structured, with all the necessary fields, especially for classical music, where all the other software?s I tried have failed. Beautiful interface. Sometimes retrieves the wrong cover from the databases. But it?s nothing serious, because I can get them on Google. I have tried several different software?s available on the Internet and none was suitable for my classical music CD's. This one is wonderful! I?m very happy with it!

"Best product for the job" I tried several other programs to orgainze and keep track of my music collection and this one is the best I found. It is easy to use, flexible, and customizable. Nothing comes to mind. If you have your music spread all over -- on your harddrive, on CDs, on vinyl, this program will help keep track of what you have, in what format, and where it is. If you find something better for the purpose, I'll be surprised.

Don't know. Paid the money. Can't use the product. See above. Not happy with what I would consider next to no technical support. A joke to say the least. Updated on Apr 16, 2010

Easy to use, excellent interface, very clean looking and 'does the job' very very well. I'm talking about the database, here. I've never used the CD Player - dunno what it's for! Fantastic Music Database

OrangeCD Suite has extensive capabilities and good reporting. Doesn't actually capture media so needs to be used in conjunction with other capture programs. If files are relocated to a new drive there is no global way to update database path. A good work in progress which keeps getting stronger
