MediaInfo Lite is a tool to analyze media files. It can give you information about the audio and video format, video resolution, duration, etc. It optionally includes a shell extension for Windows Explorer. When installed, it will show you information when you move your mouse pointer over the media file.

This is an excellent tool for providing information about media files. I find myself relying on it quite often. My only complaint is that the Lite version isn't always up to date with the official release although you can always drop the DLL from the CLI release into your MediaInfo Lite install directory to update the core functionality.

Very handy indeed and more comfortable then G-Spot but when it comes to tagging AVI I rather use abcAVI Tag Editor and get all the desrired info from that free app. Still rate it 5* cause it just rocks

I can't stand the full MediaInfo, but I like MediaInfo Lite. Go figure.
